One of my obsessions is Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. They were launched back in 2000 after merging the creative spirit of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Over the years, they have grown into a huge designer brand with boutiques in multiple countries, and it’s one that fashion fans can’t resist.

I’ve known about Golden Goose for years and I would often look through what FarFetch had, as they always had an fantastic selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always found them a bit pricey and seemed too close in style to Converse, so they were always shoes that were just in the back of my mind. Some time back, Adam was the one who first got into the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what inspired me to look into them more. Seeing his pair up close and noticing that no two pairs are alike because they’re handmade in Italy, I was more intrigued. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are pre-distressed and made to look used and abused, they are all hand done so they’re truly one-of-a-kind. Some have heavier wear than others, so there’s a whole spectrum.

If you’re shopping offline, it might be a good idea to compare several options and select from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to hope you get a good pair!The pair of sneakers that I liked from the beginning are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been available for years, but I never ended up purchasing them.
